When using WorkMachine, we collect the following data:

  • Email address : when signing up for the beta newsletter or creating an account.
  • Resume content : text, work experience, skills and other information voluntarily submitted when using the service.
  • Browsing data : IP address, browser type, pages visited, via technical cookies necessary for the site to function.

3. Purposes and Legal Basis

Your data is processed for the following purposes:

  • Service delivery (basis: contract performance) : analysing and optimising your resume as instructed.
  • Beta newsletter and communications (basis: consent) : keeping you informed of updates and platform launch.
  • Service improvement (basis: legitimate interest) : analysing usage in aggregate, anonymised form to improve WorkMachine.

4. Retention Periods

  • Account data: retained for as long as the account is active, then deleted within 3 years of the last login.
  • Newsletter data: retained until you unsubscribe.
  • Resume content: retained for the duration of your use of the service, deleted upon request.

5. Data Recipients

Your data is hosted by Clever Cloud SAS (France) and is never sold to third parties. It may be shared with technical sub-processors strictly necessary for the service to operate, bound by confidentiality obligations compliant with the GDPR.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights:

  • Right of access : obtain a copy of your personal data.
  • Right to rectification : correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to erasure : request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Right to data portability : receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Right to object : object to certain processing activities, including direct marketing.
  • Right to withdraw consent at any time for processing based on consent.

WorkMachine uses only strictly necessary technical cookies:

  • Language cookie (workmachine_locale) : remembers your chosen language.
  • Popup preference (wm_newsletter) : records whether you have already interacted with our sign-up form (local storage).

No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are used.

8. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or alteration. Data is hosted on servers located within the European Union.

This policy may be updated. In the event of material changes, we will notify you by email if you are registered. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this document.
